Meet our Founder

Elise Kwenin is an educator with 10 years of experience in Kansas City classrooms. During her time in education she taught 4th grade, 5th grade, Algebra 1 and is very skilled in data analysis and targeting specific skills to help students grow. By using data weekly, she created differentiated small groups for 90+ students ranging from enrichment activities for her advanced students to specialized tutoring for students who were struggling with a specific skill. 

Elise has always presented classroom scores in the top percentile at each of her particular schools.  Elise accomplished a 44% increase with her students in 5th Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test scores compared to the scores of the 5th grade students the year prior. In 2016, Elise’s students scored 22% higher than the Missouri state average on the 5th grade math MAP test. 

She is certified to teach all subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing) for grades 1-6 and is also certified to teach math for grades 6-9. With these skills and the strong desire to work with students one on one, Elise founded Advanced Care Academy.
